Andy Lambert’s 35+ years of engineering, land development, entitlement, and construction management experience offers a key competitive advantage to the team, having represented property owners with diverse real estate issues.

Andy’s unique problem solving and cost savings experience has settled countless real estate development issues where others failed, creating or otherwise retaining substantial value in a client’s or partner’s assets.

His technical and project management capabilities are nearly unmatched in the industry.

Andy worked his way through various construction trades at a young age and studied engineering at the University of California, San Diego and San Diego State University before going to work for a civil engineering firm in 1978. Since then Andy has directed the creation, design, entitlement, and construction of thousands of residential units and hundreds of commercial, industrial, and institutional properties. He became a Registered Civil Engineer in the State of California in 1982 and a Licensed Land Surveyor in 1984, keeping both licenses active to this day as he directs DJR’s technical efforts.

Andy has managed his own engineering and land development firm for over 30 years, operating as a full service civil engineering firm for the first 14 years before moving into real estate development and project management. In 1998, he partnered with one of his clients in the custom home industry in the upscale community of La Jolla, CA to develop high-end homes for the speculative market.

From 2003-2007, Andy developed the 850-acre High Meadow Ranch project in east San Diego County under a project management and participation agreement with one of the largest real estate developers in California, including the successful management of a $24M construction budget. Andy managed over 100 consultants, contractors, and agencies to implement the project. He was responsible for development of infrastructure of 250 custom estate homes including: a massive rock processing complex, a temporary construction water system capable of delivering 350K gallons per day to support grading operations from the nearest water service over a mile and 1,200 vertical feet away, the construction of 6 miles of roads and utilities, a 560 PSI water booster pump station, a 1.3M gallon steel water reservoir, over a mile of 12 welded steel water transmission pipe, and two future public sewer pump stations. DJR continued to advise High Meadow Ranch in land development matters thereafter as well.
